Ty Blodau Florist is based in Caeathro, near Caernarfon, North Wales. Making full use of an old stable which has been converted into a workshop, I can make lots of mess and enjoy creating designs for weddings, funerals or a handtied for delivery. As this is a family business, you're quite likely to have your call answered by one of my very helpful secretaries (aka daughters and husband!) As the business is home based, it means we can offer more flexible collection times than usual shop hours. As well as the designs on the following pages, we love listening to your individual requests and working towards turning your ideas into reality, so please feel free to contact us with any more unusual requests. We're always up for a challenge!
After much thought and deliberation, we have decided that we will remain shut for the time being. Under the current governmental guidelines we are able to make contactless deliveries, but as flowers are a non-essential item, we feel that we would be adding an unnecessary risk, not only to ourselves and customers, but also to the chain of people who are part of the flower wholesale industry, including packers, drivers and their families. We understand that in this difficult time, many of you are wanting to send flowers to bring some cheer to those who are struggling in isolation. We are also aware how deeply the effect of the pandemic is effecting those of you who have lost loved ones over this time. I carry a great heaviness that I'm not able to help at this time, and the decision has not been made lightly. We will constantly be re-evaluating the situation to see what and when we are able to offer, especially as our picking garden has a little bit more availability.
Keep Safe, Jan
We love to work with nature, and are always looking for practical ways to make our work more environmentally friendly, while still giving you, our customers a high quality, design choice. In our pages, we have specific "Eco" designs, that use no foam or cellophane and are made using only reusable, recyclable or compostable materials. Keep an eye out for the logo!
